My Learning Journey
Journey:
“An act of going from one place to another” (The Concise Oxford Dictionary, 1990, p. 639).
Some synonyms for journey are trip, cruise, excursion, tour, trek and expedition.
I’ve never thought of learning as a journey. For me, it’s more of an immersion, applying focus, energy and engagement in a simultaneously targeted and random way to learn, integrate and practice new knowledge. While doing so I am applying the sum of my experience and past learning to this new exploration. I can then apply this new skill and knowing to a multitude of situations and environments. Learning is also about building new creative linkages and memory nodes that can be applied during rest of my life.
The visuals you see in this web space reflect both the disparate and connected influences that come together to create the beauty, magnificence and engagement that is learning.
